stats from a health research non-profit organisation on the 10 veggies and fruits with teh most pesticides and the 10 with the least pesticides, guess what's at the top of the cleanest?
*EDIT* sry, it's the top 12 veggies and fruits
The "Dirty Dozen" (starting with the worst)
* peaches * apples * sweet bell peppers * celery * nectarines * strawberries * cherries * pears * grapes (imported) * spinach * lettuce * potatoes
The "Cleanest 12" (starting with the best)
* onions * avocados * sweet corn (frozen) * pineapples * mangoes * asparagus * sweet peas (frozen) * kiwi fruit * bananas * cabbage * broccoli * papaya
bow to the onion empire and perhaps, when we are in power, we will take pity on you *EDIT* it's the top 12 veggies and fruits

Onions have mild anti-bacterial properties. Plus they're one of the best foods in the world. Right up there with chunky soup and burritos.

heh, sry, im used to seeing things in lists of 10's, o well and it's not about the cleanest in terms of dirt and stuff, it's about the cleanest in terms of the number of pesticides that were used on them when they were grown -for me, burritos and chunky soup come after onions, corned beef, and dave&buster's banana foster pie(best dessert i've ever had), actually, i dont really like burritos at all, beans just aren't my thing

... Well, I don't like bananas! I think beans are good because of their texture, smooth but slightly gritty. I don't like bananas because of their taste. Have you ever tried a soufle or a tiramisu? Some goooood stuff.
