This new Pokemon game wasn't that great that I know yet. The story starts off with you taking a test where you answer questions about yourself, I took it twice because I didn't want to be a torchic. The test changed though so I don't know if there is a pattern in the questions but the second time the questions were completely opposite the ones I got before and I turned out to be a mudkip. The story is that you and your chosen partner(I choose pikachu) go and save a caterpie from a fissure in the ground. You two join forces and make a Pokemon rescue team that go out and help Pokemon. Your character is confused why it turned into a Pokemon, and starts having all of the strange dreams where a mysterious Pokemon comes and talks to it(it turns out to be a gardevoir). To get to meet other rescue teams like Team Alakazam(Team A.C.T. from the television show if you've seen it) there are set missions that you have to do where you fight legendary Pokemon like the 3 legendary birds, groudon, and rayquaza. It takes a while to get the control curve because the touch screen doesn't really make it easier to play. After the story ends you split up with you partner and you don't have to go on missions together, but it will be still be on your team, you just need to get it before each mission. I think the rest of the game you're just trying to get to be the best rescue team ever, and get the Lucario rank. there is a multi-player function but I haven't yet tried it out because no one I know has it. It seems pretty ok though, you're supposed to go on missions with your friends.

I would like to say that I beat the main story in like three days of quite a lot of playing, I think I had like 10 plus hours of playing, but I left my game on all the time because I'd be playing and put it down then do something else for about 45 minutes.
Also the red version for Gameboy Advanced is supposed to be the same but I just wanted it for the DS because it's was the thirdpokemon DS game(first is Poke dash, and pokemon trozei or something, I didn't get it) and I wanted to try it out.
